#1 Family and Friends:



I often get my news from my family and friends because they are people I trust. When my parents or friends tell me about something happening in the world, I feel more comfortable listening because I know they are sharing information they think is important. They can also explain complicated topics in a way that is easier for me to understand.

Another benefit is that I learn about news stories I might not have seen on my own. Talking with family and friends helps me hear different perspectives and stay informed about current events.

However, I know it is important to make sure the information is accurate. If the person sharing the news does not check their source, the information could be incorrect. Overall, I think family and friends are a good source of news because they are people I trust and can help me better understand what is happening in the world.


#2 CNN:


Whenever I want to learn more about a current event, CNN is often one of the first sources I check. As one of the largest national news networks, CNN has the resources to provide detailed coverage on a wide variety of topics. Whether it is breaking news, world events, or major developments in the United States, there is usually plenty of information available.

Another reason I like CNN is that the website is easy to navigate. Articles are organized into different categories, making it simple to find the stories that interest me most. While some people may believe certain articles contain political bias, I find CNN to be a useful source for researching current events and staying informed about important news happening around the world.

#3 Dallas Morning News:


Another news source I enjoy is The Dallas Morning News. 

As someone who lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, I like staying informed about what is happening in my community. The Dallas Morning News covers a wide variety of topics, including local news, sports, business, and entertainment, so there is always something interesting to read.

Another reason I recommend it is because the website is easy to use. Stories are organized into different sections, and the homepage highlights the top news stories of the day. This makes it simple for readers to quickly find information that interests them.

Overall, The Dallas Morning News is a great source for trustworthy information. Its variety of news topics, user-friendly website, and focus on local events make it an excellent choice for anyone who wants to stay informed about what is happening in the Dallas area.

The New York Times is one of my primary sources of information because of its long-standing reputation for quality journalism and comprehensive reporting. As one of the most influential newspapers in the world, it has provided coverage of major events for generations.

I value its ability to present in-depth information on topics ranging from current events and politics to business and culture. Its iconic status and history of reporting make it a trusted resource for staying informed. For these reasons, I believe The New York Times remains a valuable source of news and information. It is also known for maintaining strong editorial standards and fact checking practices. This helps ensure the information it provides is both credible and informative.




#5 ESPN:

ESPN is one of my primary sources for sports information because of its extensive coverage and long-standing credibility in sports journalism. It is widely recognized as a leading authority for updates, analysis, and reporting across a broad range of sports.

I value its ability to provide real-time updates, in-depth commentary, and detailed breakdowns of games, teams, and athletes. Its reputation and consistent coverage make it a reliable and convenient source for staying informed about the sports world. 

ESPN also brings together expert analysis and statistical insight, which helps provide a clearer understanding of performance and outcomes. In addition, its coverage spans both professional and collegiate sports, offering a broad perspective on competitions at every level. This variety makes it especially useful for following multiple sports in one place. It also features strong coverage of college athletics, including thoughtful pieces on High Point University, the college I attend, which makes it feel more personally relevant.

  The Supreme Court is a model for the world. The Court interprets the constitution, a 200 year old document, draws boundaries to government power and is a coequal branch of government.  After watching the videos, I learned some things I did not know about the Supreme Court.
